Campus Wide Mass Spectrometry Center

Overview of Services

For over thirty years the CWMSC has assisted Purdue researchers by providing quality mass spectrometry data for solving significant scientific questions. The initial charge to the CWMSC was to not just provide routine mass analysis but also solve the significant and difficult problems that arise in the Purdue research community. The CWMSC works with a diverse group of researchers, typically encompassing greater than 25 different departments on campus in a given year. Services encompass a wide range of mass spectrometric ionization and sample introduction methods. The director and staff mass spectrometrists are available for consultation on the appropriate mass spectrometric techniques to solve a given problem and for assistance in analyzing mass spectra.
