Cryo Electron Microscopy Facility

Overview of Services

The Purdue Cryo EM Facility became a fee-for-service recharge facility in 2011.  Since that time we have provided a range  of cryo electron microscopy services for Purdue and non- Purdue researchers.  We specialize in high resolution transmission electron microscopy of frozen particulate samples, a.k.a Cryo EM.  Historically most of these samples have been viruses and virus antibody complexes,  but the trend is to include smaller and smaller objects of study as innovations in technology push the boundaries of achievable resolution and advances in automation, data collection and image reconstruction software reduce both the volume of data required and the time needed to collect it.

User Agreement

The Purdue Cryo EM Facility requires that all users read and sign the User Responsibility Agreement and Purdue Cryo Electron Microscopy Facility Policies documents prior to use of the facility.
