Overview of Services

The Robert Santini NMR Facility at Purdue University, aka the Purdue Interdepartmental NMR Facility (PINMRF), provides access to state-of-the-art NMR techniques for Purdue University as well as for area businesses and technology parks. The Facility has spectrometers located in laboratories in four buildings on the Purdue campus. These spectrometers include six solution-state machines ranging in field strength from 300 to 800 MHz and one 400 MHz wide-bore solids spectrometer. These spectrometers are able to perform a wide variety of modern NMR techniques, and are used by researchers in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmacology, and other departments in areas as diverse as protein structure determination, organic chemistry support, and metabolomics.

   

Our facility is staffed with a director and an associate director (both of these being doctorate-level scientists), a part-time administrative assistant, along with one or more student workers. The wide range of skills present within the staff allow the Facility to provide excellent scientific and technical support, as well as the capability to engage in collaborative research.

Administrative Staff: Donna Bertram is usually available M-F 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (may be working remotely). Technical Staff: Someone is usually available M-F ca. 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Other times by appointment. Laboratories: Fully qualified users may obtain keys to allow access to the labs on a 24/7 basis.
